| We're going for a hike to see the larches. The trail is a 14 km round trip with a 300 m elevation gain. (An optional side trip to the South Overlook makes the totals 18 km and 550 m.)
Rae Lake trail ascends steeply from the parking lot up to Elbow Lake. Then it leads one gently for a few km through a wide valley. A rough-surfaced side trail meaders through larch woods, likely to be golden on this date, to Rae Lake. Return the same way. |
