This is a moderate snowshoe trip. Safe from avalanche paths.

If time permits then we can do another short snowshoe trip in addition to Penstock Loop.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Take the Trans Canada Highway west from Calgary for approximately 70 km, then turn south on Highway 40 for approximately 50 km. Turn right onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail then drive to the Canyon Day Use Area which is about 5 km on the right side. Trail starts on North end of lot.
