Itinerary:
A weekend of exploring, on foot, on bike... etc... in the Nordegg Area. Brent and Rhonda will be camping at Hedley's secret free camp site at/near Preacher's Point. You are welcome to stay someplace else and hang with us, but you'll have to make your own arrangements. This event assumes you'll be staying with us... please indicate in your notes if you'll be staying elsewhere. The camp site is BEAUTIFUL, user-maintained, and rustic. So rustic, in fact, that there aren't even any outhouses. We'll stay there, using it as a home base, and doing some hikes and/or bike rides from there. If we're lucky, Hedley may be out for the same weekend and we can do SWEAT LODGE!! NOTE that the dates are COMPLETELY TENTATIVE. We will jig the dates based on who wants to come and what their availability is. Please put your name on the list if you're interested and we'll finalize the details closer to the time. We have a topo map and hiking trail book to help choose activities. We may do a road ride one day too. We'll plan together and/or just wing it based on how we feel.
Required Items to Bring: - Camping gear - Food - Water, and/or the means to treat water - Gear for poopin' in the woods Recommended Items to Bring: - Hiking gear - Biking gear - Swim suit, face cloth, towel, sandals that you don't mind getting wet (if Hedley will be there to do sweat lodge).
How to Get There:
Event Directions:		Find your way to Highway 11 west and drive to, then past, Nordegg. Approximately 50km past Nordegg you'll see David Thompson Resort on th left-hand side. A few kms past there (after following beside he enormous and beautiful Lake Abraham for quite a while), you'll find yourself at the mouth of the river running into the far end of the lake. You'll see a sign for Preacher's Point campground on the left - slow down and prepare to turn. Past the sign for Preacher's Point, take the first left onto a small gravel road with a small sign saying "User Maintained Site". Follow the road down and set up camp at your choice of sites, preferably close to where you'll find Jumbo (Brent's camper van). Our ETA is about 11PM on Friday.

Carpool Cost:		Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $190.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.19, effective Tuesday, September 07, 2010). This is based on $0.08/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle.
