| It was a beautiful evening, the first plus 20 day since last year! welcome spring. The millcreek ravine gravel trails in good shape, there was one sink hole, and a couple places blocked off due to the thaw. Be careful on the trails. We started from the meet point at 68 ave and 93 st, headed north toward the muttart conservatory and stopped just before the bridge that goes across connors road. Lots of dogs and bikes and walkers were out. It was a fun evening. And a funny surprise at the end with mr hat! Thanks all for coming. See you again soon. Joanne | ||

| While enjoying the warm spring temperatures, we hiked 6.7 km through the river valley. After the hike, most of the group met at Beer Revolution for a late dinner. Thanks all for coming out! -Ryan | ||

| What an awesome weekend. The weather cooperated perfectly, a bit chilly at nights, but snuggled in our tents, no problem. And the rain came just as we got off the trail Sunday, so great. We found a secluded campsite and set up tent city at Preachers Point 2nd campsite at Abraham lake. The first hike saturday was Siffleur Falls. Nice nice hike. New though is that you cannot get to the 3rd falls. The floods last summer have washed out a large section of hillside and no easy through way to the 3rd falls, although very close. We had a nice hike, lunch, found a fossil, and enjoyed the scenery. Wandering down to the lake in the evening, then supper by a fire with good company made a wonderful day. Sunday we hiked to Crescent falls, with some bushwacking on the return trip. We left as the rain started to fall and headed for yummy lunch in Nordegg before the trip home. | Today Geoff, David and Marg celebrated 10 years of membership in the Calgary Outdoor Club! June 2004 at Big Hill Springs was Geoff's first event and then he introduced David and Marg to the COC for their first event on July 11 2004 to Helen Lake. Through the past 10 years we have met incredible people and many have become good friends with whom we've shared hundreds and hundreds of fantastic outdoor adventures. It was a special treat for us to have Rhonda join us today, founder of the COC, and she shared some stories with us about the beginnings of the club. Another treat was the opportunity to welcome brand new member, Loralee - may you experience many happy trails and fun times with the COC in the years to come :-) A celebratory non-alcoholic sparkling beverage was shared in a toast to this fabulous club. | We had a nice hike through Terwillegar Park. Definitely will walk it again. Nice and shaded path for a hot day. Only ran into a few cyclists and other walkers. Very peaceful. | ||
