| This was (hopefully) my last echo of my breast cancer treatment. Getting an echo is interesting and I was looking forward to it. I was NOT looking forward to getting the IV for the dye they use for part of the echo. It did not disappoint. The nurse put the IV into the back of my hand, which is definitely not my preferred spot for it. The echo tech was a nice enough guy, but he put the dye in in fast bursts, which were uncomfortable each time, but then at the end, when he flushed it with saline he pushed the saline in way too fast. It was shockingly painful. I think he stretched my vein out, very quickly. It has remained painful through the rest of the day and night... Interpretation Summary:\n 1. LV size and systolic function normal. LVEF 60% on contrast images. GLS -20% (normal).\n 2. RV size and systolic function normal.\n 3. Valvular function not assessed on this limited study.\n 4. No pericardial effusion | ||
