The DIRECTO to Ciudad Quesada leaves from the Parada de bus San Carlos, which is located in the North/West section of San Jose. This must be the same terminal you found. It takes 2 1/2 hr and doesn't stop til Quesada bus station ($ 4). The bus leaves almost every hour, or we heard, til full. From Ciudad Quesada you can take several busses, that go in our direction. Bus to Aguas Zarcas, Pital, (you have to get off at centro), Venecia, Rio Quarto, Puerto Viejo buses can stop and let you out at the Puente Rio Negritos (you have to specifically ask the driver to do that). From there you go over the bridge, turn right, walk straight 100 m along the river, go through our gate and a few more steps up to your guest house. If you get off at centro Aguas Zarcas (the pretty peach colored church), you can walk (easy!) down the 2 km to Finca Isla or, in case of luggage, take one of the many cabs that are waiting there ($2). |
