Itinerary:
Come join us in a tribute hike for Ed Keith who passed away on August 18, 2016 at the young age of 94.

We will begin at the Angels Cafe side of Edworthy Park. cross the river, walk through the park a ways and then use the Douglas Fir Trail. After many stairs we then use the Quarry Trail eastward towards Crowchild Trail. At the end of The Quarry Trail we will turn around and walk back along the river past Lawrey Gardens and return to the starting point at Edworthy Park at Angels Cafe.

The Douglas Fir Trail is located in the east portion of Edworthy Park and contains one of the most easterly stands of Douglas fir in Canada.
Undulating along an escarpment created by an ancient and much mightier Bow River, this natural area is just minutes from downtown. The Douglas Fir Trail, a reasonably short but strenuous hike up and down a series of steps and walkways placed between the bases of beautiful, towering fir trees.
Distance: approx 7 km
