Let's enjoy a 8.5 km moderate hiking trail with 210 m elevation gain and frequent glimpses of the prairies and the Rockies front range. Admire a recent forestry operation which opened up these views (haha). Please prepare for bushwacking near this trail for finding geocaches along the way. "The hunt is half the fun."

Do expect to encounter muddy patches and water- logged areas.

We will be back in Calgary by about 4:30 PM.

Required Items to Bring:
- Good boots or sturdy hiking shoes
- Gaiters (keep the ticks out of your boots)
- Plenty of water + lunch
- Plastic bag for muddy boots after hiking

Take Highway #1 west and turn onto Highway 40 south into Kananaskis. Regroup at the Barrier Lake Visitor Info Center. Drive 1 km further south on Highway 40. Turn left (east) on the gravel Highway 68. Go 6.5 km uphill on this graded gravel road and turn left into the Lusk Creek Recreation Area parking lot.
