Itinerary:
We hike at a relaxed slow-poke pace up Ha Ling Peak, 760 m elevation gain over 3 km (a 6 km round trip). Ha Ling is the impressive pinnacle that rises above Canmore to the southwest. The trail winds up the backside of the mountain, crosses some rocky slabs above treeline & ends up with stunning views across the Bow Valley. The best way to describe it is a very steep hike. It is definitely NOT suitable for beginners! Note: this hike involves a significant elevation gain in a relatively short distance. Also it can be very windy up top, please pack accordingly.
